We are proud to announce that the Woodturners of Southwest Missouri will be hosting Trent Bosch.  Trent is a top demonstrator sought after by turning clubs all across the country.  Now all of us have, possibly a once in a lifetime, the opportunity of meeting and learning from him as well.

Trent Bosch has been woodturning professionally for the past 20 years.  He began exploring the art of woodturning while pursuing a Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University.   Since graduating, he has fully devoted his efforts into creating one of a kind sculptural woodturnings and continues to explore the possibilities this medium has to offer.  During this time he has designed and developed a number of turning and carving tools that have allowed him greater efficiency and speed in creating his work.  He now manufactures these tools within his own facility.  When not creating, he is also very passionate about teaching and sharing the knowledge and techniques he has developed freely with others. His work is displayed in numerous fine art galleries, the permanent collections of museums and craft centers as well as in many private collections worldwide.  Trent has taught and demonstrated his techniques for turning and sculpting wood throughout the United States and abroad.

Trent will be teaching his methods in a day long demonstration on Saturday October 17^th in our normal setting at the Library Station 2535 N Kansas Expy, Springfield, MO 65803.  This is the day you watch!

Then at Brian Woosley’s Shop (directions on request) on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday he’ll be leading hands on classes which he will coach you in turning any of the projects he demonstrated the day before.  This is the day you’ll get to turn, ask questions and learn more from Trent about his techniques.  In order to insure everyone gets the most of Trent’s coaching there is a limit of 8 participants per day, so sign up quick 1^st come first served!
