Tool Swap and Sell

Saturday April 13th, 2013
10am – Noon

The Woodturners of Southwest Missouri are sponsoring a “Tool Swap & Sell” on the parking lot of Wesley United Methodist Church at 922 West Republic Road, Springfield MO from 10 am – Noon.

We all have tools that we have bought, used and moved on to other projects, processes and interests.  This sale will give you a great opportunity for you to connect with others that are now looking for those very tools.  In addition, you can probably find the next new tool you are looking for as well.

As far as I am concerned, the only thing better than buying new tools is buying slightly used tools at a much better price! Everyone is welcome to join the fun!  So, don’t be shy.

The club is asking for a simple consignment fee on your sales.

Sales less than $1,000.00 – 15%
Sales greater than $1,ooo.00 – 10%

Tools you can expect to see there:  Chucks, bowl gouges, skews, brownies, roughing gouges, sharpening tools, more brownies, saw blades, wood, jigs, drill bits, tool rests, drive centers, live centers, more brownies, lathe  accessories and lots more!!!  Maybe even a lathe or two?

We are not limiting this to Turning Tools alone.  Yes, it will primarily be turners that show up but, any tool is welcome at this event.  If you have a table saw, band saw, router table, chop saw, drill press, any flat work tools are welcome!  We are a turning club but, we have folks that also do other things with wood and other mediums as well.  So… just because it is not a gouge doesn’t mean you cannot sell it!  Bring it on!

This will be a BYOT event… Bring Your Own Tent!  Shade will probably be a good thing. Don’t worry, in case of rain, we can move the party indoors!

Feel free to email Larry with some of the things you will be bringing and we’ll update the list!

Remember, this is going to be an opportunity for you to find those same folks with your same interest at one location.  Craigslist, eBay or Penny Power cannot offer you a better opportunity than this!  And, you can find a new home for all those lonely tools that wish they could find somebody to play with them again.
