Springfield is known as the Queen City of the Ozarks. Located in the Southwest portion of the state, it is the 3rd largest city in Missouri. It is also the largest Springfield in the United States.
Around 420,000 people live in Springfield and the surrounding area. That's a bunch and it makes you realize that it would help a lot to have a group of woodturners that gets together rather than trying to find which of those 420,000 know anything about how to turn!
Springfield is home to Bass Pro Shops, Assembly of God's Headquarters and Cashew chicken. Not sure how all that fit's together though.
